Mexico City has a couple of bars among the best in the world on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 list. The list is annual and is compiled based on the votes of more than 600 industry experts from around the world, from bartenders and cocktail connoisseurs to consultants, critics and specialized writers.

Barcelona was once again the world capital of cocktails for the second consecutive year, this time with the Sips bar having been chosen as the best in the world.

For the second time since the list was created in 2009, a bar from outside New York or London has taken the top spot. In 2022, a bar from Barcelona, Paradiso, also occupied the first step, dropping to fourth place.
