Cannabis consumers will march in Mexico City

A march in support of cannabis use and six demonstrations will disrupt traffic in Mexico City.

This Tuesday, December 9, a march and six gatherings are expected at different points in Mexico City.

At 9:00 a.m., the La Comuna 4:20 collective will hold a march with three different destinations. Their goal is the creation of a law for free and universal access to cannabis.

They will depart from Francisco Primo de Verdad y Ramos Park towards:

Mexico City Congress
Simón Bolívar Roundabout
Luis Pasteur Garden

Other demonstrations

At 10:00 a.m., the Las Tonantzin collective will demonstrate at the Criminal Courts of the Mexico City Judiciary.

At 10:30 a.m., Friends of Mumia Mexico will hold an event at the former U.S. Embassy.

At 2:00 p.m., the University and Popular Assembly for Palestine will host a conference and discussion at the UNAM Faculty of Music.

Throughout the day, Jóvenes Libres (Free Youth) from the Cuauhtémoc borough will demonstrate at the intersection of Avenida 20 de Noviembre and Venustiano Carranza, in the Historic Center of Cuauhtémoc.

Also, the No More Innocent Prisoners collective will gather at the Criminal Sentence Enforcement Courts of the Reclusorio Oriente prison.

And members of the PRD (Party of the Democratic Revolution) in Mexico City will protest at the Mexico City Electoral Institute.
