More than 200 monumental alebrijes will parade this October 18th along Paseo de la Reforma, 5 de Mayo, and Juárez streets as part of a traditional parade by the Museo de Arte Popular (MAP). If you can’t make it, don’t worry, because the participating pieces will be on display on Paseo de la Reforma from October 18th to November 9th (right between the Angel and the Estela de Luz).
The alebrijes you’ll see were crafted by artists and artisans from states such as San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo, Puebla, Morelos, Mexico City, the State of Mexico, and Quintana Roo, among others.
