Rain began to fall in the early hours of Sunday, June 22, in Mexico City and the State of Mexico, causing some road damage and flooding.
According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN), heavy rains are expected in the nation’s capital for most of the day, so precautions are recommended.
On the other hand, after 2:00 p.m., the Los Cuartos Dam in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, was reported to have overflowed. No injuries or fatalities have been reported so far.
