The National Basketball Association (NBA) is set to bring its regular season action to Mexico City, as the Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons face off in a highly anticipated matchup on Saturday, November 1. The game will be hosted by Zignia Live at the Arena CDMX, marking the league’s 34th game in Mexico since 1992 – more than any country outside of the U.S. and Canada.
The “Dia de Muertos” theme will be showcased throughout the arena, with a specially designed basketball court and various fan engagement initiatives adding to the festive atmosphere. The Mavericks, featuring 10-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis and nine-time All-Star Kyrie Irving, are looking to build on their strong start to the season. Meanwhile, the Pistons, led by 2025 NBA All-Star Cade Cunningham, aim to continue their impressive turnaround after a successful year.
The game will be broadcast live in Mexico, across Latin America, and around the world, reaching fans in over 200 countries and territories. In addition to the matchup, the league and its partners will conduct community outreach initiatives, youth basketball development programs, and interactive fan activities that will bring the NBA experience to fans in Mexico City.
A range of marketing partners, including Emirates, Jordan Brand, Michelob Ultra, PlayStation, and Tissot, will support the game and surrounding events. Fans can register their interest in tickets and access an exclusive pre-sale on Wednesday, July 9 and Thursday, July 10 by visiting www.nbamexicocitygame.mx.
