Farmacias Similares opens its first veterinary clinic in Mexico City: We’ll tell you where it is.

Dr. Simi confirmed that he will soon launch his SimiPet Care program for dogs and cats. The opening date and location of Farmacias Similares’ first veterinary clinic has even been set, and will be located in Mexico City.

What began as a rumor and images on social media is now a reality, as the company founded by Víctor González Torres in 1997 under the low-cost healthcare model confirmed that it will now offer veterinary services for pets, following its motto of “the same, but cheaper.”

Currently, a veterinary consultation can cost over 500 pesos, not including medications or tests that a dog, cat, or other pet may need. In response to this problem, Farmacias Similares is launching SimiPet Care, announcing the opening of its first veterinary clinic on June 12.

Dr. Simi’s veterinary clinic will be located at 63 Prosperidad Street, Escandón neighborhood, in the Miguel Hidalgo borough of Mexico City. Furthermore, it has emerged that the goal is to open more veterinary offices both in Mexico City and the rest of Mexico.

What will SimiPet Care offer?

According to preliminary reports, the proposal is to replicate Dr. Simi’s affordable healthcare model, now focused on companion animals. Estimated services will be:

General consultations between $100 and $250 pesos

Vaccinations starting at $70 pesos per dose

Deworming around $70 pesos

Generic veterinary medications at prices similar to those for humans.

La inauguración de la primera veterinaria será el próximo 12 de junio/IG: @victor.gonzalez.herrera
