Pure Hydrogen Fueling Growth in Latin America: US$28 Million Deal Sparks Clean Energy Boom

In a breakthrough for clean energy in Latin America, Australian company Pure Hydrogen has secured a landmark deal with Mexican-based GreenH2 LATAM worth US$28 million. The Master Supply and Distributor Agreement (MSDA) marks a significant expansion of the global hydrogen market, with Pure Hydrogen set to supply GreenH2 LATAM with electrolyzers, refueling equipment, storage solutions, and transport systems.

The MSDA builds on Pure Hydrogen’s existing partnership with GreenH2 LATAM, which was established in November last year. The deal sees the company become the preferred supplier of hydrogen equipment for two projects in Mexico, including four 2.5MW electrolysers, valued at US$28 million. In addition to the initial project, GreenH2 LATAM has the opportunity to maintain distribution exclusivity in Mexico and Colombia by generating a minimum of US$20 million in net sales revenue per year.

The deal comes as Mexico sets its sights on a significant shift towards renewable energy, with President Claudia Sheinbaum aiming to boost renewable energy to 45% of the country’s electricity production by 2030. This policy change provides Pure Hydrogen with a prime opportunity to capitalize on the growing demand for clean energy solutions in Latin America.

“We are delighted to finalise this transformative agreement with GreenH2 LATAM, underscoring the increasing demand for hydrogen solutions in Latin America,” said Scott Brown, Managing Director of Pure Hydrogen. “This deal further validates our strategy and enhances our global reach.”

The partnership marks a significant milestone for both companies, with GreenH2 LATAM CEO Héctor Sánchez Baena stating that the agreement represents a “tremendous opportunity to accelerate clean energy adoption across Mexico and beyond”.

Pure Hydrogen’s proven electrolyser technologies and automated manufacturing capability make it an ideal partner for GreenH2 LATAM, which is transforming the energy sector in Latin America through sustainable green hydrogen solutions. The deal follows a series of recent distribution agreements that have strengthened Pure Hydrogen’s position in the global hydrogen market.

As the demand for clean energy solutions continues to grow, Pure Hydrogen is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend, with a robust pipeline and expanding reach into key Latin American regions. With its commitment to driving sustainable growth and contributing to a greener future, Pure Hydrogen is set to play a significant role in shaping the future of clean energy in Latin America.
