Mazatlán Marathon is being presented in Mexico City; this year it will not coincide with the Triathlon.

The 24th edition of the Great Mazatlán Marathon 2025 was presented this Thursday in Mexico City, and will take place from November 28 to 30.

Unlike last year, this year the Marathon will not coincide with the Pacific Triathlon, which has not yet been scheduled, but is currently being worked on, according to the Venados press department.

The presentation of the Mazatlán Marathon 2025 was attended by Michell Aguilar, Undersecretary of Tourism Promotion for the state of Sinaloa; Julio César Cascajares, Director of the Sinaloense Institute of Sport; Luis Miguel Rodríguez Penagos, Director of Grupo Martí and Sport City.

Also present were Paúl Luque Wiley, Director of Espectáculos Costa del Pacífico, and Ismael Barros Cebreros, Sports Director of Grupo Venados.

“We are very pleased to be attending the 24th edition of this great event, which has been international since its inception and has enjoyed worldwide acclaim. In 1999, we already had international runners. No year has been an exception. Mazatlán is a tourist destination, and Grupo Venados is committed to its success because we have the best promoter, the Great Marathon, and it is an unforgettable event,” commented Barros Cebreros.

Michell Aguilar, Sinaloa’s Undersecretary of Tourism Promotion, highlighted the importance of the event for the state, as in addition to promoting tourism, it brings significant economic benefits to Mazatlán, as did the 2024 edition, which totaled 114 million pesos.

Julio César Cascajares, director of the Instituto Sinaloense del Deporte, was present to reaffirm the commitment to the athletic event and to all sports in Sinaloa.

This year, the event will run along the seafront for the 5K and 10K, half-marathon, and marathon events.

In addition to the elite competition, the marathon will feature categories for all ages, a sports expo, and special activities that will enrich each participant’s experience.

Paúl Luque confirmed the registration of Kenyan runners for the 2025 edition and noted that they will continue to grow the foreign community participating in the event, in addition to continuing to listen to feedback from Kenyan runners.
