Guinness World Records achieved for Dr. Simi’s mascots’ dance
It is important to note that this record will be the first to be established with a mascot’s dance from the same company.
The previous Guinness Record is from Sunday, January 27, 2013, for the dance of 134 mascots from different companies and was organized in Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan.
The song used for the dance was called “Hige (mustache) Dance”, originally invented by Japanese comedians.
The creation of the DR. Simi Botarga occurred after it was planned that a mascot would support the pharmaceutical project of Víctor Manuel González Torres.
In this way, the caricaturist Daniel Burgos was the one who designed it, taking inspiration from the appearance of the Mexican actor Joaquín Pardavé.
Starting from that premise, Dr. Simi’s most characteristic appearance was made based on an overweight elderly man, with little hair only on both sides of his head, wearing a robe, white pants and shoes, a blue tie, and having a gray mustache.
