Let us remember that the Mexican Revolution was an armed conflict, which began in 1910, as a consequence of the discontent of the population towards the dictatorship that Porfirio Díaz exercised at that time, which led to a civil war, which would end up radically transforming the political and social structures of the country.
Among the causes of this movement, the social inequality that existed at that time stood out, since wealth was only concentrated in a few people, there was also no political freedom, which caused democracy to almost completely disappear.
Furthermore, the large haciendas belonged to a few owners, while the majority of Mexicans died of hunger and also lacked education to be able to get ahead and cultivate themselves in another way.
Why is November 20th commemorated?
It should be noted that the beginning of this event occurred when Francisco I. Madero proclaimed the Plan of San Luis on November 20, 1910, calling on Mexicans to take up arms against the government of Porfirio Díaz, who had been in the power for 36 years.
