The government of President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador published a decree by which it expropriates more than 11 hectares in the State of Mexico for the construction of the Suburban Train.
The document, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, indicates that possession of 113 thousand 838.5053 square meters that are located in the municipalities of Tultitlán, Tultepec, and Nextlalpan (in the State of Mexico) is taken, with which they seek to improve the connection to the AIFA airport.
It will be the extension of Line 1 of the Suburban Train, from the Lechería station to the Santa Lucía station that will arrive at AIFA.
“This will allow us to have a rail service for mass passenger transport, electric, competitive, efficient and safe. It will also reduce costs and travel time for people traveling from the metropolitan area and the Valley of Mexico to the Civil Militar International Airport”, details the statement.
