Mexico Prosecutor’s Office apprehends a teenager after the death of a student

TOLUCA, STATE OF MEXICO.- The Attorney General of the State of Mexico announced the arrest of Azahara, a 14-year-old teenager, for his possible involvement in the crime of qualified homicide of Norma, his high school classmate.

The journalist Ciro Gómez Leyva reported that both the minor and her mother Magaly Martínez were detained in Tamaulipas, allegedly trying to cross into the United States, but the agency clarified that the arrest was carried out after serving a search warrant at an address in the Santa María neighborhood. Cozotlán, municipality of Teotihuacán.

Azahara was made available to the Control Judge inside the Quinta del Bosque Internment Center, in order to resolve her legal situation, detailed by the Prosecutor’s Office.

It should be remembered that Azahara attacked Norma, who was a victim of bullying since elementary school, which led to her death on February 13 from head trauma, after which authorities began inquiries and requested an arrest warrant.
