Premium gasoline reaches 26.99 pesos in CDMX

Mexico City. The national average price of Premium gasoline continued for the second consecutive day above 23 pesos, although in the Miguel Hidalgo mayor’s office, in the country’s capital, it was up to 26.99 pesos.

On the second day of the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine, the effects of said military action continued to be reflected in the energy sold in the country, although said impact has not been strong.

PetroIntelligence data show that the national average of red automotive fuel became more expensive 0.03 percent in two days, an effect that was not repeated in regular gasoline, since its average cost fell 0.02 percent and that corresponding to diesel 0.03 percent.

However, data from the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) show that at a service station located in the Miguel Hidalgo city hall, Premium fuel is offered at 26.99 pesos.

In Iztapalapa, also in the Mexican capital, the same fuel is sold for 25.89 pesos at a gas station.

In Guadalajara, Jalisco, Premium fuel is sold for up to 24.87 pesos, while in Monterrey, Nuevo León, it is offered for up to 24.91 pesos.

According to PetroIntelligence, the effect of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine began to be seen two weeks ago, but more pressure on energy costs is expected.

In that sense, Premium gasoline has become 0.44 percent more expensive compared to February 9, while regular or Magna is 0.48 more expensive.

Diesel has also seen an increase in its price of 0.09 percent compared to data recorded on February 9.
