Visit Nevado de Toluca and discover the two beautiful lagoons in its crater

Nevado de Toluca is a stratovolcano in central Mexico, located about 80 kilometers west of Mexico City near the city of Toluca.

It is the fourth highest of Mexico’s peaks, after Pico de Orizaba, Popocatépetl, and Iztaccíhuatl.

Access to the Nevado de Toluca is open to the general public. However, only a maximum capacity of 700 visitors per day is allowed in the crater area, as indicated by the Nevado de Toluca Flora and Fauna Protection Area of the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas (Conanp).

The Nevado is a volcano (even though it is not active at the moment), and the area around it is now a national park.

For those who live in Mexico City and have a few days to get away from the hustle and bustle that this implies, then the Nevado de Toluca is the best tourist destination and with snow during the winter.

The Nevado de Toluca is one of the favorite places for explorers and adventurers, as it is ideal for mountaineering while visitors witness impressive landscapes with the mountains as the main element in the scenario.
