This place was founded in 1964 and since then these colossal quesadillas have been created that everyone loves. Amparito, one of its founders, says that the famous name of Los Machetes was given to them by the first clients when they were still starting.

The menu offers simple and mixed machetes. You can also order the famous machete called “Sabor de mi Tierra” with pressed pork rinds, quesillo and plantain, the Champion prepared with steak, cheese, bacon, brown pepper and onion, Hawaiiano and the Chovis, the latter has three cheeses: manchego, oaxaca and double cream.

The casseroles are minced meat, chorizo, pork rinds and chicken; and the main ingredients are potatoes, mushrooms and eggs. But the Cuban, which is inspired by the cake of the same name, is the specialty. “It takes a little of everything,” say the dealers, and that means that it literally takes a little of the 16 available casseroles.

Machetes are a great (literally) example that in this city: as long as there is corn, anything is possible. Its cost ranges between 36 and 46 pesos; It depends on how much you want to charge it.
