Juan Canela stressed that “first we wanted to value the role of galleries within the artistic ecosystem and highlight the concept of collaboration” and explained that in them “we will be able to find projects made for the occasion and that perhaps it is not so common to find such Collaborations between the Travesía Cuatro gallery and AGO Projects in a design project, then we will see works of art that are mixed with works of design ”.

He explained that there will be different types of collaborations that will make up these circuits, “we will have galleries in the city that host other galleries from other cities, for example in the Nordenhake Gallery space we will be able to see projects by CURRO in Guadalajara or FF Projects in Monterrey. The MUY Gallery of San Cristobal de las Casas will be hosted by the OMR. But also exhibitions in collaboration between the Labor Gallery and PENA of Monterrey, or the Parallel Project with La Caja Negra in Madrid that develop group exhibitions with artists from the two galleries ”.

At the same time, two programs Zonamaco Patio and Ruta Metrobús Reforma will be launched, the first is a program of artistic interventions and performance that will bring art to the public space in the Polanco neighborhood and in Casa Jardín Ortega with works by the architect Luis Barragán. Meanwhile, JC Decaux will present works of digital art in the advertising billboards located at the Antropología, Gandhi, Chapultepec, La Diana, and el Ángel stations on line 7 of the metrobús.

“With this idea of continuing to take advantage of or continue to understand the city as a place where we can find ourselves and also go outdoors in these complex moments, it creates an opportunity to be in easier circumstances for the meeting but also to be able to generate encounters with the public or with the city passer-by who does not expect these encounters and who may suddenly be surprised to find something that was not expected, ”said Canela.

At the same time, the Emergent program will be developed aimed at young designers under 35 years of age, curated by Cecilia León de la Barra, Jorge Diego Etienne and Diego Escalona, which consists of 30 proposals ranging from lamps, accessories to ceramic pieces, same It will be exhibited in the Blu Dot showroom, with limited access without prior appointment and from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
